↔️ Width Escalation
Driver Notes:
- Orange zones universally require red/orange flags on extremities and "Oversize Load" banners.
- BC Warning: BC is the strictest, forcing a second pilot car at > 3.50m (11'6") on many routes.
- Dimensions past the purple zones (> 5.0m) require extreme engineering/police approvals.
↕️ Height Escalation
Driver Notes:
- In Canada, anything > 4.80m requires a front escort with a height pole.
- Alaska Alert: Base legal drops from 15' (4.57m) to 14' (4.26m) on secondary roads.
- Yukon Alert: 4.20m legal is for Alaska Hwy ONLY. 4.15m applies elsewhere.
- AB requires utility lifting crews for routes > 5.30m.
🚗 Length Escalation (Standard Semi-Trailer)
Driver Notes:
- Base lengths shown are for standard Semi-Trailers. B-Trains have higher legal limits before permits in BC and YT (up to 25m).
- Red zones indicate a mandatory REAR escort.
- Alaska requires two pilots (Front & Rear) precisely at > 30.48m (100 feet).
